Knox Church is a caring body of believers, called by God, drawn together to nurture our common faith in Jesus Christ through worship, study, and witness. We are a family-oriented body of believers seeking to reach out to the world around us with the good news of Jesus Christ.
In its organizational phase people gathered together with the Reverend R. Charles Spivey at the Katherine Carpenter Elementary School beginning in November of 1962. The church was officially organized on February 17, 1963 with 95 charter members. Currently our membership numbers more than 400. Our family of believers represents all age groups with a recent substantial growth in the number of young families with children. There are an average of 20-30 guests each Sunday morning. A worship folder guides both members and guests through a special time of worship and praise each Sunday service.
In Feb. 2013, Knox Celebrated their 50th anniversary "Alive in Christ" for 50 years. Rev. Spivey returned to visit and celebrate with all of us.
We make a special effort to make our guests feel at home. Come and worship with us.
