Knox Church provides a noon meal on the fifth Friday of the month at the Cross Lines Community Lunch in Kansas City, Kansas.
The Food Kitchen’s ministry is to feed the poor in our community and to show the love of Jesus Christ to those in need.
A group of approximately 10 volunteers transports the food from Knox (beginning at 9:30 a.m.) to the Food Kitchen and serves the meal from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to as many as 300 people.
More volunteers are always welcome to assist in preparing, transporting and serving food. Volunteer cookie bakers also are needed. Cookies can be delivered to Knox by 9:30 a.m. on the dates listed above.
For additional information or to volunteer, contact the church office at 913 888-7775.
